  1. What CST and IST grade what you allocate yourself for this project? Justify your response.
  2. What could you do tonight that would improve your grade?
  3. What grade do you think your team will give you for teamwork? Why?
  4. Thinking about your presentation on Monday, what do you need to do to score an “A” grade? (hint: Look at the presentation skills). What could you do before Monday, to ensure you receive an “A”?

1. I think i would allocate myself an A because i worked really hard in this project and i done my best, i also think i should get an A because i think my whole group worked well and we have a good final product.

2. i could post some more things on diigo, i also could do some more edditing and get some more research for the project.

3. i think my team will give me an A or B for teamwork because i worked well with my team and i think we all did so i will give them an A or B aswell.

4. the things i need to get an A in Presentation is to present well, not have my hands in my pocket, look at the audience, project my voice, etc. things i can do to ensure i get an A is to practice infront of the mirror and remember what i have to say.

1. Red sunsets can be more impressive when there is dust or pollution in the air because for the sunset to be like that the sun has to shine on something denser then air e.g. dust, pollution or even a cloud.

2. The things that happen inside a water dropplet to cause a rainbow is light going through it and refracting into whatever colours of light make up white light e.g. red, orange, yellow, blue, green, indigo and violet. You can tell if a rainbow is primary or secondary because primary rainbows are formed by light reflecting inside the rain droplet once but secondary rainbows are formed by light reflecting in a rain droplet twice.

1. Things that influence my values are:

  • The things I have learnt at school.
  • The life skills I have aquired during my life.
  • My mistakes.
  • Other peoples mistakes.

2. I do compare images/values presented by themedia to the bible sometimes because they are sometimes religous things e.g. when they filmed the pope for world youth day.

3. Yes it has, it has helped me to think more about how aboriginals are being blamed without any evidence that they commited the crime.

1. I feel the media portrays social justice issues unfairly e.g. aboriginals are blamed for things.

2. It has not been difficult to find issues on socia justice becuase it is such a large topic and there is a countless number of articles about social justice.

3. I do not think the media operates from a moral framework because all they want to do is tell the news they don’t think “is this fair to that person” or “why am i doing this” all they want is to make money.

1. A critique is a person whos job involves identifying critical things to say about an article and resisting the temptaion to describe rather then analyse.

2. The four stages in a critique are:

  • Introduction – name the issue discussed
  • Summary – distinguish clearly between the controlling idea and the ideas and information.
  • Analysis – you should identify the strengths and weakness of the publication.
  • Evaluation - is the positive and negative values of the article.

3. No a critique can’t be positive becuase you are critisisng the article not describing it.

4.

I do not believe the first video was accurate because we all know that dragons are make believe monsers and magic does not wake up stone monsters, also it would be absurd to believe that china is digging a hole for the American athletes to fall into.

I also believe the second one was nonsense but they showed some videos of donkey bascketball so it might just be accurate although it sounds ridicullus.

1. WA woman stabbed in throat while sleeping

2. One media account is the woman was asleep at a friend’s house when she was stabbed in the throat and mouth about 4.00am this morning.

3. I got this media account from abc news.

4.Yes I believe this is reliable because I think it is true.

5. I can find more information about this issue on countless websites e.g. google news, Channel 7, Channel 10 etc.

1.Man charged over sex shop murder

2. One of the medias accounts was ”man charged over sex shop murder.”

3. ABC News

4. I do not believe this is reliable because it has nothing in it about a sex shop.

5. I can find more information about this issue on countless websites e.g. google news, Channel 7, Channel 10 etc.

1.

  • i learnt how to use refraction.
  • i learnt how to measure angles of light refraction
2.
  • optical technologies enhance your ability to see
  • optical technologies can help you see further.
  • optical technologies involve mirrors lenses and prisms.
3. i feel that i need help with some practical, i think the best way to resolve this is to get in groups that can help me.
